OVERVIEW

Progressive’s 15½ foot TDR-15 Tri-Deck Roller finishing roller mower is an ideal choice for municipal grounds care, parks, sports facilities, polo fields, or estates, in either wet or dry conditions. This versatile mower can cut as low as ½ inch. Full width rollers smooth the field surface and stripe for a pleasing visual impact. The rollers can speed divot repair, promote root-to-soil contact, aid plant health and help moisture retention. The superior quality cut comes from high lift rotary blades that create enough vacuum to lift the grass for a clean uniform cut and then disperse the clippings evenly over the rollers. Easy access to height adjusters makes setting the height of cut quick and precise. Rear rollers also provide extra protection for the discharge of clippings and debris. Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ is standard equipment — this allows the decks to be temporarily lifted slightly off the ground with the PTO still engaged and without fear of driveline damage while turning. The TDR-15 is another example of the ingenuity and quality that goes into producing a durable and productive rotary finishing mower that is easy to maintain. The TDR-15 not only provides versatility of use and quality of construction, it is “The Better Built Choice”.

BENEFITS

  • Pro Lift-N-Turn™ :

An industry exclusive feature – not found on other contour mowers! Pro Lift-N turn™ allows the decks to be raised slightly off the ground with the PTO still engaged. Crossing a cart path or other minor obstacles has never been easier.

  • Easy change height adjustment:

Progressive’s height indicator is plasma cut metal so the 1/8” height indicators are easy to see regardless of the light conditions. The 1” diameter Acme thread screw is plated and greaseable to provide years of trouble free use. 5 turns changes the HOC 1 inch. A carriage bolt is used for clamping which can be easily replaced if it ever becomes necessary.

Pro Lift-N-Turn™
Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ system is standard equipment. Operators have the ability to slightly raise the decks off the ground with the PTO still engaged, making turning easier on the turf as the weight of the mower is distributed between the tractor and the floatation tires. An automatic mechanical stop prevents each deck from rising too far and damaging the deck PTO shaft.

Easy change height adjustment
The height adjustment system is designed to allow you to quickly and accurately dial-in the required HOC between ½” to 4”. For convenience, the height of cut is easily adjusted using a single tool that is stored right on the mower. The durable, rust-resistant system, designed for years of use, can be set to the exact height needed for various applications without needing to raise and lower the decks, saving time and effort.

High Blade Tip Speed
With a tip speed over 18,000 feet per minute, our high lift blades provide superior air flow to stand grass up so it can be cut cleanly and evenly discharged over the rear rollers, minimizing clumping and accumulation.

Evenly Distributed Clippings
The 9 – 23” heat treated high lift blades produces the proper amount volume allowing grass to be stood up for precise cut quality and even clipping disbursement. Equipped on the front and back of each of the 3 – independently floating decks, are 6” diameter solid full-length rollers that yield highly defined long-lasting striping pattern.

Maintenance Free Blade Spindles
Developed and tested over many years, the sealed bearings we use have a unique steel seal located on the bottom and the top of the spindle so that it is designed to keep lubrication in and contaminates out (seen HERE), providing superior bearing life in demanding natural grass production conditions.

100 hour Greasing Interval
All of the shafts including the input slip joint on the TDR-15 have 100 hour greasing intervals. The extended interval means more productive mowing time is available each day. For larger scale operations this also allows for easier maintenance scheduling. A daily pre-use walk-around of the mower and tractor should always be performed, but now this task can be accomplished in less time.

C.V. Input PTO System
Often mowers of this size are moved between tractors that are equipped with different size tires. This created additional work when the mower was connected as either the mower or the tractor’s drawbar had to be adjusted to achieve the proper drive line positioning. To overcome this, Progressive has equipped the TDR-15 with a constant velocity (CV) input PTO as standard equipment. This makes connecting a mower to a tractor easier as the drawbar hitch length does not need to be re-adjusted each time (within reason). With the standard CV joint, minor misalignment isn’t as critical when connecting the TDR-15 to different tractors. The result is overall hook-up time being greatly reduced. Let’s go mowing!
