OVERVIEW

Progressive’s 12 foot Tri-Deck Roller Mower (TDR-12) is designed to maintain wide area mowing venues that require a superlative after cut appearance. The superior quality of cut, coupled with the TDR-12’s rugged construction, ease of maintenance and use give the TDR-12 the versatility to tackle a wide variety of mowing applications in parks, sports fields, and corporate campuses. The TDR-12’s full length rollers, which allow the mower to cut as low as ½” while simultaneously rolling and striping the mowing surface. Higher mowing speeds are often possible as the bounce from pneumatic tires are eliminated, making quick work of big jobs. Cutting heights are quick and simple to set with the supplied tool to any height from ½” to 4”. The TDR-12 is another example of the ingenuity and quality that goes into producing a durable, reliable rotary finishing mower that is easy to maintain. The TDR-12 is not only a Value and Performance leader, it is “The Better Built Choice”

Pro Lift-N-Turn™
Progressive’s exclusive Pro Lift-N-Turn™ system is standard equipment. Operators have the ability to slightly raise the decks off the ground with the PTO still engaged, making turning easier on the turf as the weight of the mower is distributed between the tractor and the floatation tires. An automatic stop prevents the main decks from rising too far.

High Blade Tip Speed
With a tip speed over 18,000 feet per minute, Progressive’s high lift blades provide superior airflow, to stand grass up to be cleanly cut and evenly discharged over the rear rollers, while minimizing clumping and accumulation.
Progressive’s high tip speed provides a clean even cut at ground speeds up to 6 miles per hour, for the high productivity users have come to appreciate form a Progressive mower.

The seven – 23” heat treated high lift blades produces the proper amount volume allowing grass to be stood up for precise cut quality and even clipping disbursement. Equipped on the front and back of each of the 3 – independently side to side and front to back floating decks, are 6” diameter solid full-length rollers that yield highly defined long-lasting striping pattern.

Easy change height adjustment
Infinite cutting height adjustment from ½” to 4″ is easily accomplished with the on board tool. This allows the TDR-12 to transition quickly for multiple mowing height applications.

Maintenance Free Blade Spindles
Several years ago, Progressive introduced maintenance free blade spindle assemblies, and based on their success and acceptance, we’ve incorporated them as standard equipment in the TDR-12. Developed and tested over many years, the sealed bearings we use have a unique steel seal located on the bottom and the top of the spindle so that it is designed to keep lubrication in and contaminates out(seen HERE), providing superior bearing life in demanding natural grass production conditions. The bearing kit is interchangeable with our conventional greased bearings, so older spindles can be upgraded. Maintenance free blade spindles not only protect the owner’s investment from a missed service, they also reduce routine maintenance time and cost. More time for mowing is what it’s all about!

C.V. input PTO system
Often mowers of this size are moved between tractors that are equipped with different size tires. This created additional work when the mower was connected as either the mower or the tractor’s drawbar has to be adjusted to achieve the proper drive line positioning. To overcome this Progressive equipped the TDR-12 with a constant velocity (CV) input PTO as standard equipment. This makes connection to a tractor easier as the drawbar hitch length does not need to be adjusted each time to suit the mower (within reason). With the standard CV joint, it is much easier for the TDR-12 to be connected to different tractors as adjusting the drawbar to correct minor misalignment isn’t as critical. Overall hook-up time is greatly reduced. Let’s go mowing!
