OVERVIEW

The Progressive TD65-2 is a tri-deck finish mower designed to maintain large areas quickly and economically. With a 12' wide cutting swath, the TD65-2 is capable of mowing over 60 acres in an 8 hour day at speeds up to 6 miles per hour. Three independent floating mower decks mounted on a transport frame follow the ground conditions found in school yards, recreation areas, and corporate campuses. The TD65-2 produces a professional after cut appearance. When you are not mowing, the mower can be quickly disconnected from the tractor, increasing the utilization of the tractor for other tasks. Similarly, reconnection is quick and simple. Now that's value!

Progressive designed the TD65-2 mowing deck to assist the even dispersion of clippings through the open rear discharge area - avoiding clumping and windrows.

Only minutes are required to change the TD65-2 cutting height from 1" to 5" without the use of tools. For convenience and safety, all transport and mowing functions are activated without the operator leaving the tractor's seat. Optional transport tires and fenders are available if the mower needs to be towed longer distances.

C.V. Input PTO System
Often mowers of this size are moved between tractors that are equipped with different size tires. This created additional work when the mower was connected as either the mower or the tractor’s drawbar had to be adjusted to achieve the proper drive line positioning. To overcome this, Progressive has equipped the TD65-2 with a constant velocity (CV) input PTO as standard equipment. This makes connecting a mower to a tractor easier as the drawbar hitch length does not need to be re-adjusted each time (within reason). With the standard CV joint, minor misalignment isn’t as critical when connecting the TD65-2 to different tractors. The result is overall hook-up time is greatly reduced and a feature not offered on all competitive mowers. Let’s go mowing!

Maintenance Free Blade Spindles
Developed and tested over several years, Progressive is pleased to introduce maintenance free blade spindle assemblies. Completely interchangeable with a greased spindle, the same housing is used providing wide spacing between the bearings ensuring low bearing loading and long service life. Maintenance free blade spindles not only protect the owner’s investment from a missed service, it also reduces overall maintenance time and costs.

Automatic Deck Locks
Automatic mechanical safety locks are incorporated into the Progressive TD65-2 to hold all three decks in place when raised for blade servicing or transport. The decks are easily raised and lowered using the tractors hydraulic system, directly from the tractor seat. Optional transport tires and fenders are available if the mower needs to be towed longer distances.

All pivot points are fitted with easy to reach grease fittings making servicing fast and easy.  A single piece 3/16″ steel deck is formed and welded with bracing at high stress areas to provide for maximum structural strength.

Solid Blade Options to fit our needs
High lift rotary blades create enough vacuum to lift the grass for a clean even cut and then disperse the clippings evenly through the rear of each deck for a superior after cut appearance. An optional mulching kit is available to help return clipping nutrients to the soil.

Heavy Duty Blade Spindle
A field proven design over many years, the TD65-2 incorporates seven blade spindles each supported by two maintenance free bearing per spindle. A long support bar holds the blade straight, providing a clean, level cut. A steel shield below the bottom bearing and on the top of the spindle (seen HERE) gives protection from any debris that could otherwise damage the bearing seal. Like all Progressive finish mowers, all blade spindle assemblies are interchangeable within the mower and quickly serviceable, lowering the total cost of ownership.

Excellent Floatation
The TD65-2 is easy on the turf. Low ground pressure is achieved with 12 large low pressure floatation tires. Tire position is staggered to minimize soil compaction and rutting. Six non-swiveling caster tires as well as the two main transport tires keep mower tracking straight while mowing along hillsides.

3/16″ Steel Deck
The TD65-2 is designed with deep skirt decks that are formed and welded, with bracing at high stress areas, to provide maximum structural strength. The open back discharge allows clippings to be dispersed evenly and without bunching up, leaving an after cut appearance that is second to none.

Cut Height- Easy to Adjust
Cutting height adjustment can be simply done on the TD65-2 by removing a lynch pin from top of each castor wheel stem and moving the spacers either above or below support tube as required. Like all Progressive mowers, the wheel hub and castor pivot are greaseable and castor pivot bushings are replaceable for low owning and operating costs.
